GOALS:

Social connections: VPLU is built to allow PLU students to communicate in a unique way, whether it is through the virtual room chat or private messaging. With about 3,100 students at PLU, users could develop friendships with others (PLU Office of Admission). Just as PLU's Student Life strives "to cultivate a campus climate that strives to be inclusive and supportive, and models respect for every individual", VPLU also strives to welcome all students who can grow with one another (Division of Student Life).

Academic connections: VPLU is also intended to provide students with resources to enhance their experience with PLU coursework. VPLU offers a unique way for students to collaborate on a group project, communicate with a tutor, and connect with other students from the same major.

Informational connections: With the countless opportunities for PLU students, it is possible that some students may not be aware of all campus information. VPLU aims to conveniently provide information. Campus-related information will flow throughout VPLU, allowing students to stay updated.Students will be exposed to information about PLU, from a variety of organizations, student clubs, and departments. Once students take time to process information, perhaps they would embark on new opportunities on campus.
